Share your experiences to help shape health services

Ipswich | Fassifern | Lockyer Valley | Somerset | Springfield / Ripley

Community Reference Groups are located in Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Somerset and the Fassifern region with a new group starting in Springfield/Ripley this year. Community Reference Groups meet with West Moreton Health to provide community perspectives on health service planning topics. West Moreton Health then reflects this information in the planning of future services in the region.

Why be on a Community Reference Group?

  • To share your experiences with the West Moreton Health service to help shape service design
  • Review documents and brochures and give your feedback from a consumer and community perspective
  • Share information about your community and their health needs.

What West Moreton Health is looking for?

  • People who use or have supported someone to use the health services
  • People with good connections with their local community
  • People who come from diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences who want to be part of helping to shape this health service
  • People with an interest in helping us make this health service great.

Community Reference Group members:

  • Will participate in an orientation before starting as a group member
  • Receive training on being on a group and how groups work
  • Ongoing support from West Moreton Staff.

Community Reference Group requirements:

  • Members will be required to participate in a 2-hour, quarterly meeting
  • To commit to a two-year term.

Community Reference Group members do receive a payment to cover the cost of their time and travel to participate in meetings.
