Have your say
Our aim is to work more closely with partners, our consumers and community, and staff to jointly develop services and programs that make the West Moreton Community healthier.
West Moreton Health is looking for consumer, carer and community representatives to join its National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards committees.
Expressions of interest for committee membership close at noon on Saturday, 30 September. To learn more about what is involved in being a consumer representative, read the position description here.
For further information on how to be a consumer representative, email the Senior Engagement Officer or visit West Moreton Health National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards committees (office.com).
Local people who use our health service or supports someone to use our health services can be involved. Consumers can include patients (past and present), carers, family members and community members.
Some activities like answering a survey will only take a short amount of time. Other activities, like being part of a focus group, will take two-to-four hours.
Being part of a committee would be a 12-24 month commitment, with consumers attending regular meetings.
Everyone has a valuable perspective and can give a unique insight into health care services. If you are sitting in a waiting room you might see something that could be improved that people walking past don't see. Having people from different cultures, backgrounds, age groups and users of different services can all give different perspectives that can help shape this health service.
