Visitor restrictions are in place across West Moreton Health facilities to maintain COVID-safe practices. 

You must NOT visit if:

• you have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
• you have returned from overseas in the last 14 days.
• you have been asked to self-quarantine.
• you have had contact with a person with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
• you have a fever (37.5 degrees or more) or a cough, runny nose, sore throat, breathing difficulties, loss of taste and/or loss of smell, diarrhoea, vomiting or nausea or fatigue.
•  
• You cannot enter a hospital if you have been in a declared COVID hotspot in the last 14 days or since the hotspot was declared (whichever is shorter).

Ipswich Hospital visiting hours

General wards:

• 10am-1pm and 4-8pm, Monday to Sunday.
• A maximum of 2 visitors at a time, sign-in required at entrance to the hospital and again on the ward, preferably using QR code.

Short stay: 

• 24 hours a day.
• A maximum of 2 visitors at a time.

Emergency:

• 24 hours a day.
• Visits at the discretion of the senior clinician.

Mental Health:

• 8am–9.30am and 3.30pm–5pm and 6.30pm-8pm Monday to Sunday.
• Visitors must book.
• A maximum of 2 visitors at a time and visits are limited to 30 minutes.

Palliative care:

• 10am–1pm and 4–8pm, Monday to Sunday.
• Patients can have up to 5 visitors.

Maternity:

• 8am–1pm and 3–8pm, Monday to Sunday.
• Visitors are limited to 2 support people during labour and 2 people by the bedside post-natal.
• Support people are able to visit from 8am–1pm and all other visitors are welcome from 3–8pm.
• Afternoon visitors are limited to 2 people, including children. For example, afternoon visitors may be a parent and only one other sibling.

Paediatics (Children's Sunshine Ward):

• Afternoon visitors are limited to two people, including children. For example, afternoon visitors may be a parent and only one other sibling. Open 10am–1pm and 4pm–8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU):

• 11am–1pm and 3pm–7pm, Monday to Sunday.

Coronary Care Unit (CCU):

• 4pm–8pm, Monday to Sunday. There is a maximum of 2 visitors.
• These areas are restricted to immediate family and visits depend on the patient's condition.

Boonah Hospital visiting hours

• 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am–4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Esk Hospital visiting hours

• 10am–1pm and 3pm–8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Gatton Hospital visiting hours

• 9am–12pm and 3pm–8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Laidley Hospital visiting hours

• 10am–1pm and 4pm–8pm Monday to Sunday (maximum of 2 hours).
