Research

For consumers and the community

How can I get involved in research?

Consumers and the community are a vital part of healthcare research.

There are a number of ways you can be involved in research - this could include:

  • being a participant in research
  • being part of a consumer advisory group
This involves sharing your opinion about areas such as: what research is important to you as a consumer or member of the community, or whether you think people would be able to do the assessment or treatment.
  • donating to research.
Health research often needs financial support. This could be to buy equipment or to fund clinical staff to spend time working on the project. Contact the Ipswich Hospital Foundation for more information about donating.

For more information about being involved in research, please email WM_Research@health.qld.gov.au.
