West Moreton Health provides a wide range of services supporting people with mental health issues and drug and alcohol problems, which GPs can refer into to access specialised support for their patients and their families.
In Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS), we aim to provide the best care we can to the West Moreton community and beyond who are experiencing mental issues and comorbid substance use issues.
Our Acute Care Team (ACT) is the central referral point for public mental health services including the first point of contact for GP liaison regarding mental health. Referrals are accepted via phone or fax.

Our Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) specialises in helping infants, children and adolescents up to the age of 18 who have complex mental health needs. We focus on recovery and work collaboratively with young people and their families. CYMHS works as a multidisciplinary team and do not see young people purely for medication management or psychiatric review. Our intake team is the first point of contact and works with families and referrers to determine the most appropriate services for the young people referred to us and will make referrals to other services if indicated.
Children and young people aged 0 to 17 years who have or are at risk of developing severe and complex mental health issues.
Written or typed referrals accepted from GPs, guidance officers, youth workers or paediatricians.
