Most people who get COVID-19 will have mild symptoms that do not need hospital treatment.
Even if your symptoms are mild, you should be tested so we can understand the spread of the virus in the community. Find out more about symptoms here.
Everyone who gets COVID-19 will experience it differently. If you have severe symptoms like shortness of breath or chest pains, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
Please do not present to an emergency department if your symptoms are mild and/or you are seeking a test.
Remember to wear a mask as directed, stay 1.5m apart from other people in public, practice good hygiene by covering coughs and sneezes and stay home if you are sick, and wash your hands thoroughly and regularly.
You can stay up-to-date with the latest news, alerts and resources on the Queensland Government COVID-19 website.
