Gatton Hospital Auxiliary Car, Ute and Bike Show 2022

The 2022 Car, Ute and Bike Show is back, and Gatton Hospital Auxiliary are hoping for a bigger than ever turn-out this year.

Gatton Hospital Auxiliary secretary Ann-Louise Adams said funds raised will go towards a food and drink vending machine for patients and families in the Gatton Hospital waiting room.

Mrs Adams, who is also Acting Director of Nursing/Facility Manager at the hospital, said hopes were riding on this year’s event after last year’s was cancelled due to lockdown.

“We want the community to know that any funds raised by the Gatton Hospital Auxiliary would stay in Gatton, spent on items and services at the hospital and community health services,” Mrs Adams said.

Funds raised at the 2020 car show were spent on an oversized cuddle bed for palliative care patients and their families to share in their final days together.

Mrs Adams said this year the Auxiliary hoped to raise $8000 for a vending machine as there are currently no food options in the waiting room of the hospital.

“We are hoping for 500 people and more than 200 cars to attend,” Mrs Adams said.

“We can’t wait to get the Lockyer Valley community together again.
