Patient experience surveys

West Moreton Health participates in the Queensland Health Statewide Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs).

What are PREMs?

PREMs are a once-off capture of a patient's perception of what happened during their health care visit and views about their hospital experience, as well as their satisfaction with our health service. Patients' feedback will be used to help identify and prioritise areas for improvement.

How do PREMs work?

Patients will be invited to participate in the online survey about their recent experience with the care they received at our hospital.

Queensland Health will automatically contact patients via SMS after being seen or discharged from our health system.

Patients will be included if they were:

  • attended an emergency department
  • attended a hospital outpatient appointment
  • had an endoscopy procedure
  • were an inpatient including those who received hospital in the home (HITH) or virtual care

All PREMs surveys have survey fatigue rules in place to prevent patients from receiving the same survey from the same hospital more than once within a given period of time (currently six months).

Taking part in the surveys is voluntary. Your hospital care and treatment will not be affected if you choose not to participate.

For any other questions or assistance in completing the surveys, please contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).
