Sue Scheinpflug (Chair)

Sue Scheinpflug

Current term 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2028

Sue Scheinpflug is an experienced leader and board chair, with more than 20 years’ experience in the human services and health sectors.

Sue currently holds the positions of Chair for Health Translation Queensland and Chair of UQ Health Care.  She is also a community board member of the Parole Board Queensland.

Sue holds qualifications in education and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has held numerous advisory and policy development roles at local, state and national government levels, and has won awards as a business and community leader.

Dr Cathryn Hester (Deputy Chair)

Dr Cathryn Hester

Dr Cathryn Hester is a medical specialist and leader in general practice. She's a practice owner and has worked in clinical medicine in the Ipswich region for more than two decades.

Cathryn is a national board member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and chairs their Queensland faculty.

She's a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Medical), and a Master of Business Administration.

Darren Zanow

Darren Zanow

Current term: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2030

Darren Zanow is a lifelong Ipswich resident with more than three decades of experience in business, agriculture and community leadership. He was managing director and chief executive officer of Zanow’s Concrete and Quarries for 30 years before the company was sold in 2022.

Darren is a cattle grazier and a long‑standing volunteer with community organisations across Ipswich and Queensland. He is a former member of the Queensland Parliament for the seat of Ipswich West.

Darren holds diplomas in applied science, horticulture, and surface extraction. He is a Fellow of the University of Southern Queensland, president of the Ipswich Show Society and a board member of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies.

Adjunct Associate Professor Deanne Minniecon

Deanne Minniecon

Current term 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2028

Adjunct Associate Professor Deanne Minniecon has Aboriginal (Goreng Goreng) and Torres Strait Islander (Erub) heritage. She has more than 25 years’ experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and education.

Deanne is the national manager of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement with Diabetes Australia. She’s a board member for Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN and has held  roles at Health and Wellbeing Queensland, Brisbane South PHN, the Queensland Government.

Deanne has a Master in Health Science (Health Promotion) and a Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion.

Dr Kelly McGowan

Dr Kelly McGowan is Director of Oral Health at West Moreton Health. She is a registered general dentist with 15 years' experience in clinical practice, health leadership, and research.

Kelly has a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy.

Louise Cox

Louise Cox is an experienced executive and non-executive director, with 30 years' experience across the legal, accounting, architecture, property development, education and mental health sectors.

She is currently on the board of BlueCHP, CPA Australia and Vertaview and is Chair of the RSPCA Queensland Board. Louise also sits on the Advisory Board for Griffith University’s Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics.

Louise's past board roles include TAFE Queensland, Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Open Minds, and ThomsonAdsett.

Louise is a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Governance Institute of Australia and her qualifications include a Master of Laws and a Master of Taxation.

Lyn Birnie

Lyn Birnie is a senior finance leader with more than 35 years experience in major mining companies and Queensland Government-owned power generators.

She’s on the board of several organisations and community groups, including the West Moreton Health Foundation, the Legacy Club of Ipswich, the Independent Regional Advocacy Service Inc.

Lyn is a certified practising accountant and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She has a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration.

Mike Bosel

Mike Bosel is an experienced chief executive officer and senior health care executive officer. He has more than 30 years’ experience working in public and private companies and not-for-profit organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom. Mike has overseen the delivery of services in residential and community aged care; mental health; children, family and carer support; homelessness outreach; and community health education.

He is Chief Executive Officer of the Brisbane South PHN and a member of the primary care committee for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

Mike is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Business (Honours).

Stephen Robertson

Current term 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2030

Stephen Robertson is a former MP and senior minister in the Queensland Government.

In his 13 years of ministerial service, Stephen held the portfolios of Health, Energy, Water, Mines, Natural Resources, Trade and Emergency Services.

Stephen is Director of Marketing, Stakeholder Engagement and Strategy at Planet Ark Power. The company is a leading provider of clean energy solutions and technology.

He has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Griffith University.
