Why this strategy matters

The draft First Nations Health Equity Strategy 2025–28 sets out West Moreton Health’s commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our region.

Health equity means ensuring First Nations peoples have access to care that is culturally safe, responsive and meets the needs of community. This strategy outlines how we will strengthen partnerships, improve access to services and embed equity into everything we do.

Developed through ongoing engagement with community, staff and partners, the draft strategy reflects what we have heard so far. It brings together priorities, actions and accountability measures to guide our work.

Have we got it right?

We are inviting feedback to make sure the strategy reflects the voices and priorities of our communities and stakeholders.

Your feedback will help us understand what is working well, where improvements are needed and how we can strengthen our approach before finalising the strategy.
